Queer and Trans Action Group @ UT Dallas
While Texas as a state does not have a spotless record for LGBT+ support and advocacy, The University of Texas at Dallas boasts a 5-star rating from Campus Pride. For many queer and transgender students, UT Dallas is a safe haven of identity acceptance, safety, and networking. We want to continue to act. However, we want every LGBT+ student to actually feel the 5 star rating. This is why we have now formed the “Queer and Trans Action Group (QTAG)” @ UTD. This group will volunteer for events/programs, help paint the spirit rocks for support, put signs/sidewalk chalk around campus to commemorate LGBT+ days of recognition, etc. The main point is we will act. We will help make UTD even more LGBT+ inclusive by showing up and helping. Will you join this effort?
