Q-TEAs (a space for queer topics)

Q-TEA meeting in the Gender Center
Q-TEA meeting in the Gender Center
The Q-TEA series seeks to advance the community’s understanding of queerness and diversity. Too often, a single lens or narrative of LGBT+ identity is conflated as the common truth when in reality there is no monolithic experience of queerness. People from all walks of life claim LGBT+ identity, and this is a space for us to discuss what that means, for both the individuals who may typically get left out of the narrative and for the larger community.

Q-TEAs will serve to advance UTD so that our students, staff, and faculty may exhibit levels of inclusivity and cultural competency that can compete with the leading hubs of thought concerning queer and feminist theory. For additional questions, please contact Alexander Leyva.
